A guide to buying baby blankets

It sounds pretty straightforward to buy a baby blanket, but this is yet another area where you might feel you need some expert advice when preparing for a new arrival. We have three different types of blankets to choose from and here’s an overview of how you would use the different ones:

Receiving blankets: If you’re buying for a newborn, a receiving blanket is a good-sized blanket, which many parents like because the size is very manageable. Receiving blankets are ideal for covering newborns in the moses basket, buggy or car seat.

Cot blankets: If you’re looking for a long-lasting blanket, our cot blankets are larger in size and work well for covering baby or toddler in a cot bed or buggy. These blankets are sure to be treasured for years! (They now come in two styles – picot edge blankets and squares blankets.)

Comfort blankets: After hearing from customers that their little ones can’t go to sleep without their cashmere blankets, we invented the comfort blanket–small and much more convenient blankets for use as comforters. These little blankets, which can be personalised with baby’s name, make brilliant gifts!
